Dear & I are now standing infront of the following Boston Lobster Feast Restaurant after getting off Amy-Steve-Hunter’s car from whom we hitched a ride from Kennedy Space Center after Dear & I missed our Gray Line Tour Bus :

Haha Boston USA - heheh I’d been there once with my family & I still remember we ate the famous Lobsters & huge Blue Crabs at a grand beautiful Chinese Restaurant by the Harbour……….they were so yummy yummy!!!

Heheh thought I show you 2 of my Boston pics where my family & I stood at Boston Harbour after our lovely leisure Historic Boston Sightseeing Cruise (before we headed for our yummilicious Boston Lobsters & Blue Crabs) back in 1992 :

Well, Dear & I have seen & read about this Orlando All You Can Eat Boston Lobster Feast which has 3 Restaurants along International Drive, & it’s supposed to be Orlando’s Original Lobster Feast since 1990 - & we’re eager to try it, especially Seafood lover Me!!

So, instead of going straight back to Quality Inn International where we’re staying, we decided to ask Amy to drop us here at the Restaurant nearest to our Hotel so that Dear & I can have a good dinner here after a long tiring day & our fearful encounter of missing our Tour Bus at Kennedy Space Center……….

However, we end up not dining in the Boston Lobster Feast Restaurant cos we’re pretty surprised at its interior which looks kinda casual like a pretty normal eatery with very dim dull lights unlike what we were expecting - some place kinda posh & nice……….

And when we look at the Buffet spread - it consists of the usual Fries (or chips) & lots of deep fried stuffs like Chicken Nuggets & Fillets, but there’re Oysters, Mussels & Shrimps & freshly cut Prime Rib (Steak) which I like, but GUESS what!?!?

The Lobsters are so tiny - those kinda very small fat-headed types which look more like Baby Lobsters to us, & they really look kinda strange & scary to Dear & I…………& we see many huge Americans (in families) using their hands & gnawing & sucking on piled up plates & plates of Lobsters - hahah it all looks pretty gross to Dear & I & we kinda lose our appetite………….

So, we immediately “make a run” towards the Restaurant exit & just pick up the following All You Can Eat Boston Lobster Feast Pamphlets with their Locations Map from the Waitress :

Well, not that Dear & I are being rude about the people feasting inside the Boston Lobster Feast Restaurant, but guess we’re just not used to seeing those tiny funny looking Baby Lobsters (cos we’re so used to eating much bigger Lobsters), & that we were totally unprepared about eating them!!

Let me share with you some of my Australian Travelling Seafood pics where Dear & I, together with Mom & Dad, had sumptous spreads of freshly picked & freshly cooked huge Lobsters, large Crabs, fresh & fried Oysters, Fish & Shrimps at PKG Seafood - a Waterfront Seafood Restaurant by Tweed River at Tweed Heads West in New South Wales, Australia :

Anyway, back where we’re right now at International Drive in orlando - Dear & I start looking at the I-Ride Trolley Route Map (which we have with us) to check out the nearby Restaurants & Whoala!! we discover that Ponderosa Steakhouse is just across the street!!

Steak for Dinner - Just GREAT cos Dear happens to be craving for Steak right now as he tells me!! And where best than to have it at Ponderosa Steakhouse!!!

Hahah!! Cos that was my favourite Steakhouse haunt during my good old School days in my pre-college years back in Singapore when my girlfriends & I would frequent the Restaurant as often as we like after school hours or during weekends! And on special occasions like my Birthdays; we’d end up there having my Birthday lunch or dinner too - treats from me heheh!!

And during my working days more than 10 years ago, I’d frequent Ponderosa Steakhouse too with my Colleagues………..Still remember I love those yummilicious Steak that came with delicious food varities from the Salad, Hot Food & Dessert Bars……..

However, the Steakhouse closed down in Singapore soon afterwards more than 10 years ago which was really disappointing & sad to me…….& I’ve missed it so much since………..

As for Dear - he’s never seen or eaten in a Ponderosa Steakhouse though he’s heard pretty much about it from me all these years………..so when I find out that Orlando has got the Restaurant here, I jump in joy & am really anxious & so happy, & can’t wait to come dine in one hahah!!

Heheh here’s our wonderful Dinner Buffet Spread all laid out beautifully on our table - can’t wait to tuck in cos we’re actually starving!!!

Let us first try our hot-from-the-kitchen warmly toasted yummilicious Bread just brought to us by our Server (waitres) - Isabel :

Mmm…….these homemade Breads taste so good & delicious, especially the long ones, with which Dear & I immediately fall in love!! Soft on the insides yet tastefully crispy on the outside - Mmm…..superb!!

Dear’s Buffet platter of Pasta with Pasta & Spaghetti Sauce with huge Meat Balls, Carrots, Beans, Broccoli, Cabbages, Corns & Potatoes :

My Platter of Corns, Cheese Macaroni, Spaghetti with Meatball Sauce, Carrots, Beans, Broccoli & Potato - haha Dear & I love the huge handmade Spaghetti Meatballs which are so tasty & yummy yummy!!

Another plate of Rice Pilaf, Indian Papadum & Tortila Chip, Fried Chickens, Mushrooms & Corned Beef - I really like the Rice Pilaf which is so tasty & delicious, & the Corned Beef is simply so good, & taste exceptionally fantastic with the Rice Pilaf :

Hahah, I didn’t realise that there’re Fried Chicken Wings from the Buffet Spread if not for Dear who brings them to me as he still remembers that I’d been wanting & craving for Fried Chicken Wings for the past few days here in Orlando!!

Heheh we both love these Chicken Wings which are well-marinated, very crispy & so yummilicious!!

Thick Creamy Vegetable Soup which is really heathy & nice :

Though I still prefer this below Steamy hot Pasta Vegetable Soup - really appetizing & just great for me as I miss HOT Soup from home!! I even have a 2nd helping after this!!

Haha, here comes Dear’s Sirloin Steak & look how pleased he is!!

WOW this huge chunked Sirloin Steak tastes really good & Dear loves it!! He adores the American crispy Fries too - & we actually like dipping the Fries into the American Tomato kETCHUP (since there’s no Chili Sauce!!) - so yummy YUMMY!!!

Now, here’s Me with my Ribeye Steak :

Well, Dear likes his Steak “Medium Well“, but I like mine “Medium Rare” - & certain parts on the center portion of my Ribeye Steak seem more well-done than it’s supposed to be………but overall it tastes pretty good as I’m also too tired to ask for an exchange……….

My Ribeye Steak with Baked Potato comes with an extra bowl of freshly Buttered Mushrooms which are well-prepared & taste really lovely!!

And our Steaks really taste pretty good with the Ponderosa Steak Suace (recipe from the famous American A1 Steak Sauce)!!

As the night’s getting late - Dear & I start feeling kinda cold from the Ponderosa aircon plus the outside Winter cold here in Orlando, Florida USA - but that doesn’t stop us fom having our favourite Dessert - Ice Cream of course!! YES!! Yes!!!

Chocolate & Vanilla Soft Ice Cream - heheh it’s so chilling cold making Dear & I shiver once after we salvage it that we’ve to put on our Sweater & Jacket!!

Dear & I have such a pleasurable dinner at Ponderosa Steakhouse spending more than 2 hours dining inside here - its atmosphere is very relaxing enabling Dear & I to rest our legs & minds, & at the same time enjoy our yummilicious Steak & Dinner Buffet - our Steaks are very tasty, & the Buffet spread is plentiful with varities enough to make us both happy & satisfied - & we’re so full so full!!

Isabel our Server has now brought us the following Guest Tips Information Guideline (that states in 5 different languages that one’s expected to pay 15 - 20% Tips), together with some Ponderosa Sweets :

Haha, Dear & I think America’s really open about their dining Guest Tips showing guests this Guideline - but it’s no surprise as I heard the American serving employees (waitresses/waiters) are only paid a minimum salary & their main bulk of income comes from receiving Tips from Guests……

Besides, the Restaurant charges no Service Charge & guests can expect to pay more for good service, or much lesser if they’re not happy with their Server!! Cos afterall, America is a free & fair Country letting the Guests decide for themselves whether to pay more or less!!

Soon Dear & I are out of Ponderosa Steakhouse walking to the next-door Bargain World - actually there’s a walk-through door between Ponderosa & Bargain World, but it’s now closed after the late-night hour :

We’re now inside Bargain World - “WOW this place is so big!!” exclaims Dear who’s never been to (but only heard much from Me about) Bargain World here in Orlando……….

Dear & I have earlier planned to shop inside Bargain World after dining at Ponderosa Steakhouse, but cos I’m feelling way too tired to enjoy any shopping, we decide to just redeem our Free Gift at the Cashier Counter & get us out of here :
