Right after putting our Shopping Bags in our Room at Pacific International Hotel, Dear & I are now walking to the Metro Light Rail Station here in Sydney, Australia
Below pic shows the Paddy’s Markets Metro Monorail Station (rounded Sheltered!!), & Paddy’s Markets Metro Light Rail Station just across it - see the Blue Light Rail Tram coming :
Opened in 1988 on 21 July, Sydney Metro Monorail is a Single-Loop Von Roll (Swiss Aerial Company) MkIII Monorail in Sydney’s City that connects Darling Harbour, Chinatown (where it’s just across Market City here!!), & its Central Business & Shopping District. In total there’re 8 Monorail Stations on a 3.6km Track, with 4 Monorail Trains operating simultaneously.
Here’s a pic taken from the top of Paddy’s Markets Metro Monorail Station, with view of the Metrol Light Rail Tram & Market City (or Haymarket) where we’ve just shopped this morning
Dear standing infront of Market City :
Currently the only Light Rail Line in Sydney opened in 1997 on 31 August mostly along the route of an unused Goods Railway Line, Sydney’s Metro Light Rail serves the redeveloped Inner-City areas of Darling Harbour, Ultimo & Pyrmont – where we’re be going now
In 2000, this Metro Light Rail was extended to serve the Inner Western Suburbs here in Sydney, Australia. The Route extends for 7.4km, with 14 Light Rail Stations including 2 interchanges to the Metro Monorail Line, & a Station at Sydney’s Star City Casino.
Here’s the Route Map of Sydney’s Metro Monorail 6 Stations & Metro Light Rail 14 Stations with 2 Interchanges :
We’ve just arrived at Metro Light Rail Fish Market Station here in Pyrmont – a Inner-City Suburb located 2km Southwest of Sydney’s Central Business District in the Local Government Area of Sydney’s City – also part of the Darling Harbour region.
And YES, the reason of Dear & I coming here to the Fish Market Station is of course to visit the well-reputed Sydney Fish Market – hmmmm so hungry can’t wait to have our SEAFOOD Lunch
Lovely Metro Light Rail Tracks – hehehee do you know I’ve always loved the Railway tracks & trains ahhahaaa I don know why - guess it’s cos of my favourite childhood Chu Chu Train play set which I adored so much
Pyrmont used to be a vital component of Sydney’s industrial Waterfront with wharfs, shipping yards, factories & woolstores, thus it’s only right that Sydney Fish Market is located here on Blackwattle Bay.
Established in 1945 by the State Government, Sydney Fish Market became a privately owned Company since 1994.
Here we finally are inside the world famous Sydney Fish Market - YESSSSSS see Peter’s BBQ Grill below?!!? That’s where we’ll be having our Seafood Lunch
A division of Poulos Bros Seafood – a family owned & operated Business servicing the Seafood requirements of Sydney Food Service & Hospitality Industries since 1968 – Peter’s Fish Market provides fresh Seafood in its Fish Market, as well as a Seafood BBQ Grill!
Wowww LOOK at our so HUGE mouth-watery savoury SEAFOOD Deluxe Platter for 2 :

We’re now at the Waterfront Promenade behind Peter’s Fish Marekt & BBQ Grill - lovely out here!!!!
View of the beautiful Anzac Bridge that opened in 1995 spanning Johnstons Bay between Pyrmont & Glebe Island. One of Sydney’s outstanding Landmarks, the Anzac Bridge is the longest Cable-stayed Bridge (at 32.2m wide & its main Span at 345m long) in Australia.
Dear & I continue walking through Sydney Fish Market……………….
Buying 2 packs of my favourite Australian Strawberries before leaving the Fresh Fruits & Vegetables Market here inside Sydney Fish Market :
