Tomorrowland – Hong Kong Disneyland
Filed Under (China, Cuisines, Hong Kong, Travelling) by Janet on 04-06-2008
We’re now at Tomorrowland, the last Kingdom of the Hong Kong Disneyland which we’d yet to explore – here’s its pamphlet information :
At the Entrance to Tomorrowland :
Dear was happiest & most excited cos he loves ALIENS & SPACE & what those FUTURISTIC stuffs!!
Here’s the Orbitron with Flying Saucers high above Tomorrowland :
Behind Dear is the Starline Diner Restaurant :
What a COOL pretty Restaurant in the shape of a Spaceship!!
Below’s the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters at Tomorrowland – too bad too bad Dear & I simply had not enough good time to visit each & everyone of them, not to even mention taking any of their Rides etc!
And here’s Autopia where one gets to drive into the Future aboard Electric Cars that cruise along the Highways of Tomorrow!! Dear & I had actually planned to ride on these too but again there wasn’ much time for us to do so!! Thus we both decided we must return to Hong Kong Disneyland again next time & then we’ll make sure we’ve a total one or 2 full days in here!!
Well, we could only quickly browse through some of the shopping areas in Tomorrowland such as in the following Space Traders :
Then Dear decided that this would be our very last chance to take on a Ride inside Tomorrowland – that was at the following Space Mountain :
Haha we were so surprised to see 2 very very young little Chinese girls whom Dear & I believed must be Sisters – well, they were may be about 3 & 5 years old & they were both holding hands & queuing up for the Space Mountain Ride ahead of us!! Haha Dear & I felt kinda ashamed of ourselves cos we were kinda braving ourselves for the Ride behind them!!!
Well, here we were looking & listening to the Safety Instructions on the TV screens inside Space Mountain just before our Ride :
WEW Wew ON our Ride began & went up a STEEP……….Steep SLOPE………….& Off……………..OFF we WENT to SPACE!!!
Arrhhhhh Errhhh………..Arhhhhhhh……………..rolling DOWNS & ups……….lower then HIGHER……………. & higher & OFF we went again in Steepness………….then Off in Swirls & CIRCLES then Steepness again, then in SWIRLS again…………till to a SUDDEN jolt both Dear & I simply just went giddy all over in our heads that I could only shut my eyes throughout the Ride till the very end!!
Haha by the time Dear & I were unloaded from our Space seats, we were both feeling extremely DIZZY all over!!! It was indeed a most THRILLING Ride into SPACE – but both Dear & I were telling each other we’d rather not take the Ride at all haha!!!
Well, I must say the Ride was pretty SCARY for me!!! Worst of all, it made me all SO Giddy SO GIDDY!! If only I’d not agreed to accompany Dear on the Ride HAHA since I’ve such a Phobia of Heights!!!
And throughout our Ride, I kept thinking how Dangerous it was for the 2 young little girls cos there wasn’t much of a tight Seat Belt & at times we were ROLLING up & DOWN in such Steepness & Swiftness I could imagine the 2 little girls falling off!!! But HAHA think I heard my own (as well as Dear’s) CRIES & SCREAMING much much more & in loudness than the girls’ heheh – OR may be they were both just too frightened & in SHOCK till they could let out NO cries at all!??!?!
Well, gald I was so SO wrong cos I did see the 2 little girls again after our Ride holding hands & walking happily & excitedly out of Space Mountain!!! Haha my Hat off to them!! SALUTE Salute them!!
Anyway, the following is our Ticket for Purchase of the Portrait taken of Dear & Myself during our Ride inside Space Mountain :
Here’s ME feeling a little SHAKEN from the Space Moutain Ride, at the Space Traders :
Above Me is the Portrait of Dear & Myself in our Space Mountain Ride :
Close-up view of our Portrait – haha can you see that my eyes were CLOSED & shut so tightly & I looked so so SCARED!!!
Haha both Dear & I didn’t know that we were being photographed at that point or else we would have composed ourselves & smiled for the camera!! HAHA like real, as though I could actually smile at all!!! Well, at least I might try or that Dear & I might both make some funny weird or loving faces etc etc!!
Just like this stranger Daddy & Son Portrait – look at how they posed themselves SUPERBLY with their So CUTE expressions at the camera!! They were both so really really COOL & SPORTY!!!
Haha what a RIDE at Space Mountain!!
Well, it’s Dinner time now as our watches showed almost 7pm as Dear & I walked to the nearby Gourmet Cafe in Tomorrowland.
We’d wanted Jiang Nan BBQ Cuisines such as Roast Pork & Duck for our Dinner :
But unfortunately, there were only Jiang Nan Noodles left at the Cafe :
Well, Dear & I had initially wanted something special for our 6th Wedding Anniversary Dinner before we came to the Gourmet Cafe, but cos we were hungry & tired to look elsewhere for food, we decided to just settle our dinner here – Dear ordering now :
Dear paying for our food at the Gourmet Cafe Cash Counter :
Look at our very yummy looking Jiang Nan Noodle Cuisines at the Cash Counter :
Here’s Nanjing Beef Noodle Soup for Dear……..hmm………..it looks really delicious :
And here’s my Fish Ball & Cuttle Fish Ball Noodle Soup - I’ve had the best Fish Ball & Beef Ball Kway Tiao Soup in downtown Tsim Sha Tsui when Dear & I first arrived in Hong Kong - the Fish Balls were especially tasty & I’ve since craved for them, & that was why I wanted more Fish Balls again :
And a bottle of very fresh yummy Orange Juice for Dear & myself – heheh I liked the Disneyland bottle & even brought it back home to Singapore with us after Dinner :
Very good quality Gourmet Cutleries & Chili Sauces :
Dear was very very hungry :
And he couldn’t wait to tuck into his Nanjing Beef Noodle Soup :
Dear attacking his dinner now………hmm……….hmm…………the Beef Soup base was really tasty – it was very steamy hot & the Beef slices were very well prepared & braised - really delicious!!
As for my Fish Ball & Cuttle Fish Ball Noodle Soup – the soup was also as steaming hot but overall it was not as good as I expected it & rather disappointing for me cos the Fish & Cuttle Fish Balls were a little hard & not as fresh & weren’t really tasty!! And I believed they were machine-made & not handmade like the Fish Balls from the Fish Ball & Beef Ball Kway Tiao Soup which I ate in downtown Tsim Sha Tsui.
Well, at least Dear’s Nanjing Beef Noodle Soup was very much worth the taste
) By the time Dear & I finished eating our Dinner, the sky was dark as we walked out of Gourmet Cafe towards the Main Street, USA, of the Hong Kong Disneyland.
And Dear & I bidded farewell to the pretty lit-up Orbitron of Tomorrowland as we paved our way out of Tomorrowland :
Here’s a Slideshow I made up of all my photos taken at Tomorrowland just for you – hope you’ve as much fun as I had in there!
