More than 2000 Tuwa natives live here in Hemu Village at Kanas Lake National Park, enjoying hunting & grazing cattles & cheeps on vast grasslands surrounded with clean streams, Siberian Forest & Snow-capped Mountains for thousands of years.

No wonder Hemu Village is regarded as one of the most beautiful Villages in China, & considered as the “Back Garden” of Mysterious Kanas Lake area!!! And I’m very fortunate to be here on a Special Tuwa Home Visit……………….

Ahhaa POTATOES Harvesting – how very interesting!!! These Potatoes must be very fresh & yummy being grown on such beautiful fertile soil!!!

I continue clicking away my camera at the Village’s awesome surroundings as I walk very excitedly towards the local Hemu Home Visit………………

Quick stop for a snapshot of Me with the Pine wood Tuwa houses with Slant pointed Roofs suitable for frequent rain & snow from the surrounding mountaineous area :

As you can see, the walls of the Tuwa House are stacked up with Pine logs – let’s see more Fur hangings on the walls :

We’re served yummy Rasins, Tuwa Cookies, Sweets & Tea all placed out on Pine wood Table inside the Pine wood Tuwa House :

One of the rare native Languages still remaining in China – the Tuwa Language belongs to the Turkish Language group, though many of them also speak Chinese, just like the pretty Tuwa girl with whom I chatted during Lunch at Kanas Mountain Villa.

However, the Household members of this Tuwa Home speak only their native Language, thus a Chinese Guide (below in Red tee) is with us to help us along………………. 

The Tuwa women & men are fond of wearing Mongolian Robes of bright colors, with thick bands tying their waits :

Soon after the Tuwa Male Host, who’s a very popular figure in the Hemu Village, greets & welcomes us by playing Flute (using his teeth!!)

I like the Pine logs piled-up Wall with its wooden glass panel window laden with white lovely Lace curtain :

Ha now I’m recalling the sweet tasty Hotpot Stirfried Rabbit meat I ate in Beijing – though I wasnt quite too keen upon eating it after ordering cos of having their so cute white appearances in my mind – & now I’m looking at one preserved one!!

Below shows the Pine log fenced up Gate of the Tuwa household – see the seated lady in black - she’s my Tour Mate Auntie who has been nauseous & vommitting all the way during our Bus journey up & down the winding roads through the Mountains till upon arrival in Kanas Lake National Park - poor poor Auntie to whom my heart goes out to……………..

So for those who’ll be travelling to Kanas Lake National Park, do remember to pop a Motion Sickness Pill or paste a Motion Sickness Plaster on your neck (one which my Chinese Korean tour guide gave me during my Korean Road Trip!!) before going on your Journey ha - Best of Luck & Take Great Care :)
