YEA YEA!! I’m finally getting to enter a real American Supermarket - Walgreens!!

Actually Walgreens is the largest Pharmacy chain in USA with almost 6700 Drugstores nation-wide, that come with Mail Services, Household goods, Toys & many more - serving almost 6 billion customers a month!!

And Walgreens’s been around for more than 100 years since 1901!! 

Thanks to the Tourist Information Centre gal who told me about it this morning when I was checking with her on the nearest Supermarket since we both have no idea how I can get to Walmart except to take a Taxi which is a “Big No No” for me being here alone while Dear’s attending his Solidworks World 2009 Conference!!

Anyway, no Walmart’s okie cos I’ve still got Walgreens for the time being heheh!! As per thoughts I walk straight into Walgreens & WHOALA!!! It’s actually pretty huge in here I’m “jumping” with joy all over inside me haha!!

Immediately I see these eye-catching lovely RED Heart-shaped Valentine’s Day Chocolates - of course since Valentine’s Day is only 4 days away!! Without hesitation I pick the biggest Heart of all these Hearts for Dear just like I’ve given him the BIGGEST Heart of mine heheh!!

Well, I plan to give it to Dear on Valentine’s Day of course!! (I’ll feature it to you 4 days later on Valentine’s Day here in Orlando Florida USA okie heheh ) :

And of course being an All-Occassion Cards Obsesser (& Collector), I can’t help but head straight to the Cards Counter to look for a Valentine’s Day Card for Dear, even though I’ve actually brought my own Valentine’s Day Card(s) from Singapore pulled out from my huge Collection over the years!!

Oh dear oh dear I love all these Hallmark Cards so much - I’ve been a lover of Hallmark Cards since I was a teenager & used to get tons of them for family, friends & Dear of course!! And this’s but only one brand of Cards that I collect!!

And then as my Collection grew bigger & bigger & so BIG since a couple of years ago, I told myself that I must STOP buying CARDS as I’ve run out of spaces to keep them!!! However, I still can’t help it now & then just like I’m looking & reading all these gorgeous Cards here!!

So I choose one that’s most appropriate & suitable for Dear for this coming Valentine’s Day - & another for next year’s for him cos I like it too much not to bring it back home with me!! Haha told you before I’ll never ever finish giving out all my Cards!!

After feeling really pleased with the Cards I’ve chosen, I continue walking around Walgreens checking out its other Valentine’s Day gifts :

WOW WOW so many Candies, Love Cushions, Plush Toys, Hearts Balloons, you name it they have it!! There’re simply tons of Valentine’s Day Gifts in here which are of really good prices too!! And there’re so cute & very very sweet!!

I shop & shop & shop loving Walgreens so much without realising that the time now is almost 8.30pm!!

Heheh I’ve spent like 2 hours inside Walgreens checking out almost everything at every corner forgetting that it’s getting darker & darker outside right now - & I’m feeling rather cold from the air-con inside here & wondering if I’d survive the freezing chill out there in Winter Orlando night when I’m out of here walking back to the Hotel since I’m only wearing my short denim jacket over a thin dress - haha!!

Suddenly I remember those times during my uni days back in Geelong Australia where my housemates & I were shopping inside Safeway Supermarket, Target or Coles  - it’s like I’m doing exactly the same thing right now except that I’m all alone right now in Orlando………..

But am I surprised that it’s not a bit cold at all outside Walgreens once I step out after paying for my purchases, as I stroll slowly back to Quality Inn International - hands full of Shopping Bags from my whole day of Shopping Sprees…………

I’m loving the cool weather right now & I don feel worried & afraid at all walking here alone at night though I only see quite many vehicles passing by, & a huge Black man who greets me ”Hello” in smiles as he walks past me from behind on the pathway………..

Guess my stay during the Aussie days has made me a more daring person!! But anyway, it’s only a pretty short distance away from Walgreens, then crossing a wide 2-way road junction, then another short distance past the World’s Largest Mcdonald’s before I reach Quality Inn International……………

I’m now back in my Room at Quality Inn International, & here’re my Shopping Bags from Orlando Premium Outlets, Bargain World & Walgreens :

Hmm…………besides liking its name, I like its San Diego Animal Adventure Cartoons - the Girraffe!! And I bet the Donuts must be really yummy yummy :

Best of all it’s extremely cheap cos a Pack costs only US$2.99 (not inclusive of Tax yet), & I see that its expiry date is 2 weeks later which is just great!!

And of course I start counting the Donuts first upon opening the Pack & YES, there’re 16 of them that’s why it’s called Sweet Sixteen!!

Let me now try it - Oh my GOSH!! These Mini Frosted Donuts are so so delicious!!!

The Frosted chocolate on the outside is slightly crunchy tasting just right & not too sweet - & the inner dough is of creme yellow color which is soft & so yummy making the overall combination simply so good so good :

Haha, I only realise now that I’m feeling real hungry since I’ve skipped my Breakfast & Lunch & only having my Dinner now at around 9pm!! Can’t blame myself cos full-energy Shopaholic Me WON’T feel hungry or tired at all whenever I’m out shopping hahah!!

I’m now tucking into my Korean Instant Cup Noodle - deliciously Spicy reminding me of home back in Singapore :

And these below are Drinks brought back last night by Dear from his SolidWorks 2009 World Conference which I’m thinking if I wana drink now……………NOPE, think I shall have my usual very COLD American Coke from the Fridge which Dear & I never stop replenishing whenever it’s finished haha!!

I’ve a very yummy yummy Dinner enjoying my 1 whole huge Banana Nut Muffin plus a few Mini Frosted Donuts, as well as my entire Cup Spicy Noodle plus lots of chilly Coke………..

And now I’m feeling real good & satisfied lying down on bed watching TV, & texting Dear a message on my cell phone informing him that I’m safely just back in the Hotel past 8.30pm!! Heheh I actually feel kinda proud of myself having gone to so many places today haha!!

Ok okie, I shall rest for now while whaiting for Dear to be back from his Conference……………..
