Going to the Future - Tomorrowland of Walt Disney World
Filed Under (Florida, Orlando, Travelling, USA) by Janet on 07-02-2009
A very short distance from Mickey’s Toontown Fair stands Tomorrowland of the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World where Dear & I just walk to :
“A Vista into a World of Wondorous Treats, signifying Man’s Schievements, a Step into the Future with Predictions of Constructive things to come. Tomorrow offers new Frontiers in Science, Adventure & Ideals - the Challenge of Outer Space, & the Hope of a Peaceful & Unified World” as quoted by Walt Disney.
Dear & I have been to Tomorrowland in Hong Kong Disneyland & we’re now very excited to be visiting the Future World in Orlando, Florida USA!
We’re now watching the Racing Cars at Tomorrowland Indy Speedway :
Dear wana try out the Race Car very much but as usual with most of the Attractions, there’s a very long Queue, so he’s no choice but to give it up since we’ve got not enough time…………..
And also, both Dear & I feel extremely tired from our whole day’s walking & activities in the Magic Kingdom, so Dear’s taking a rest here sitting by a circular bench in Tomorrowland while I go shopping for a while hoping to find some nice Souvenir Magnets from the Futuristic land………..
To my much dismay, I find no pretty Souvenir Magnets from Tomorrowland at all - in fact I think that Hong Kong Disneyland has got much nicer Souvenir Magnets than those I see here in Magic Kingdom, that’s why so far I’ve got only a few :((
Dear & I are now looking at the Astro Orbiter in Tomorrowland - pretty cool pic I’ve just snapped with the flying past wings-spread-widely bird in the sky heheh :
Well, Astro Orbiter is where one gets to fly in one’s own Spacecraft or Rocket high above Tomorrowland - but cos this Attraction spins round & round, & we’re both dead afraid of feeling giddy & nauseous - we decide not to take the ride :
Here below we see the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor, which is a hilarious, interactive show in Tomorrowland - & as usual, there’s a long Queue to this Attraction as can be seen from its long waiting-time signboard- so again Dear & I have to give it a miss :((
Dear & I soon decide to try out Sitch’s Great Escape as we see no Queue for the Attraction :
Here we’re both standing infront of Stitch’s Great Escape, waiting to enter :
We’ve now entered the preshow area where we’re recruited by an animated version of the Galactic Federation Grand Councilwoman (on Video Monitor) to provide additional security for the captured Alien :
We then move into a 2nd preshow area where we’re briefed by a Robot “Sarge”, & suddenly an Emergency Arrival is announced - Stitch the trouble-maker Experiment 626 is here on Tomorrowland!!
Dear & I are then ushered into the main theatre as shown below where we see Alien Stitch creating mayhem such as bouncing on people, with the show featuring water & sensory effects as well as odour that smells like instant noodle hahah!!
Pretty interesting Attraction which seems a little scary cos the whole theatre turns into darkness at times while we try to anticipate what’s going to happen to us next hahah!!
After Stitch’s Great Escape, Dear & I walk around Tomorrowland for a while hoping to find short or no Queue lines to any Attraction so that we may go ride it but of course there aren’t any, so we decide to walk back to the Main Street, USA of the Magic Kingdom - here we see the lovely Mad Tea Party Attraction situated in Fantasyland :
Shortly after, I notice a beautiful Message written by Randy Pausch lying among a row of lovely pink flowers :
Dear & I are now walking past the main entrance of Tomorrowland while walking towards the Main Street, USA - bidding goodbye to our Futuristic world :
Well, I’ve done up a Slideshow of all photos taken at our short stay in Tomorrowland - enjoy :
