After a sumptous lunch & some shopping at the GHOST CITY’s Guest Service Centre located here at Northwest Edge of Zhungarian Basin – Northeast of Kelamayi City – Along Mysterious Silk Road of China :
Hey I’ve been to Hangzhou – it’s a most tranquil lovely place!! And I sure remember the Temple of Heaven in Beijing – beautiful!! As for Eygpt – haaaa that’s one of my ever dreamiest places to visit in my future world!!!
Hmm I’d studied the History of Eygpt in my high school & I adore its mystical Pyramids so much!!! And Angkor Wat of Cambodia!??! Hahaha I’ve got only its many Souvenir Fridge Magnets which my buddy got me yrs away while on tour there!! But One day, I’d love to visit that mysterious haven too!!! YES!!!
Heheeee look at these below cool (or rather “Fear looking“?!?!!) kids riding on top the tall handsome Camel!! Well, never fear cos it’s SO MUCH FUN riding a Camel TRUST ME!!
Well, at least for myself hahaha, cos I still remember I enjoyed so much my own Camel rides at Mingsha Shan (or Echoing-Sand Mountain), at Dunhuang along the Mysterious Silk Road of China!!
Here’s a close-up view of an Egyptian Sphinx with Me right infront of it!!!!
But NO I didnt lie ( as I’d earlier mentioned that I’ve never been to Egypt!!) – I wasn’t in the real Egypt Land of Paradise at all, but rather in North Geelong of Victoria – Australia!!
Well, let’s now see more pics of the Mysterious GHOST CITY (also known as WIND CITY), here at Kelamayi (Karamy) – Silk Road of China!
Yea, that’s ME above wearing my favourite handy bright RED Hat purchased at Jiayuguan Pass back at the Gobi Desert!! Haaa I sure am very lucky to have this shady Hat with me as it keeps me very well-shaded from the real scorching heat out here at GHOST CITY!!!!!! Just look at my pinkish rosy Cheeks hahaaa!!!
Now, let’s take a look at what’s going on down where the white lorry is below :
Ohhh it’s a Artillery Shell & Changmihong Melon Fruits Stall!!! How cool!!! Still remembering so well the sweet juicy Melons I ate while visiting the Oasis of Dunhuang hmm yummy!!!
Ha there’re also Colorful Stones here on sales – in so many different shapes & sizes – most interesting!!
NOW actually…………
And below show views of the deserted GHOST CITY road :
Hey I just noticed my Camel friend stting by the opposite roadside!! Hmmm he looks pretty lonely – I must go say hello to him………..
We next moved on in our Tour Coach a little further into deeper GHOST CITY to our 2nd Stop, where there’re more Lovely Stone Jewelry Souvenirs spread out on sales here on the deserted GHOST CITY land :
And yet another Artillery Shell & Changmihong Melon Fruits Stall!!! With Water Melons too!!
Me posing amidst the amazing Rock Fomated GHOST CITY :
At our 3rd GHOST CITY stop now :
Close-up view of prettie myself atop the hill :
Time to descend the hill…………
NOW look at the below pretty huge height of this hill – Hahahaaa how did I ever climb up here in the 1st place huh?!! OOPS how will I survive climbing down now without even a fall?!?!?!!!
But I SURE JUST DID IT (& without a fall too!!), cos I’m already down snapping pics of my brother-in-law Ah Hia :
More snapshots of myself before we move on to more teresting Spots :
And guess what we came upon at our next Stop here!??! It’s the famous Chinese Movies Filming Location right here at GHOST CITY!!! How COOL!!!!
We continue exploring GHOST CITY in the cool comforts of our Tour Coach before exiting this mysterious beautiful place………..
Well, I hope you’ve all enjoyed GHOST CITY here at Mysterious Silk Road of China as much as I just did
Let us now watch my following Slideshow of more pics taken inside GHOST CITY – ENJOY :

my hubby and I are going on the Silkroad of China in Sept. May I know how much did you paid for a Luminous wine cup? Is it made of jade? Thanks!
Hello Winnie,
So wonderful that your hubby & you are going on the Silk Road of China Trip in Sept!!
YES, the Luminous Wine Cup (or Yeguan Bei – http://www.janetong.com/travelling/visiting-jiu-yu-luminous-cup-yeguan-bei-factory-at-jiayuguan-located-in-the-gobi-desert-in-western-china-getting-myself-a-handsome-emperors-luminous-wine-cup-souvenir-made-of-jade-from-qiliansha) that sparkles when placed under the Moonlight, is a renowned & costly alcohol-drinking vessel made of Jade from Qilianshan Mountain (http://www.janetong.com/travelling/chang-cheng-hotel-jiayuguan-boarding-deluxe-oriental-express-train-having-chinese-lunch-at-huanghe-restaurant-arriving-at-liu-yuan-train-station-in-dunhuang-visiting-gobi-desert-silk-road-china-day5).
For my Cup as I’ve replied my blog reader Jen in Oct 09 (in http://www.janetong.com/travelling/visiting-jiu-yu-luminous-cup-yeguan-bei-factory-at-jiayuguan-located-in-the-gobi-desert-in-western-china-getting-myself-a-handsome-emperors-luminous-wine-cup-souvenir-made-of-jade-from-qiliansha) – it should cost about 100RMB or less, but now I think I remember it to be much more expensive around 200RMB, cos it’s a genuine Cup
Be careful when purchasing your Cup though, cos there’re shops along the Silk Road of China that often sell fake ones (though they’re much cheaper!) that you’d know on 1st sight cos they’re much darker in color & don shine/sparkle as much!!
Enjoy your Luminous Wine Cup (Yeguan Bei) shopping during your Silk Road of China Trip & may I wish your hubby & you both a very happy fun great trip – take tremendous care
Thanks Janet for your reply and your warning of getting fake ones, as well as, the right place to get genuine cup. You’re of great help! Just to let you know we’re from Singapore. We loved to travel and I’ve deep passion in photography. The pics you’d posted on Tianshan, Ghost City, etc were very beautiful.
