Dear & I Enjoying Beijing Supper - Chengdu Cuisines in China

Filed Under (Beijing, China, Cuisines, Travelling) by Janet on 31-05-2008

Dear & I came back to Ai Hua Hotel after shopping in Wangfujing Street. The following Slideshow contains photos taken inside Ai Hua Hotel, after which Dear & I (in our Sleeping Wears) went out again for Supper after bathing & resting for a few hours!

We arrived in the Chengdu Mei Shi Cheng Restaurant (Chengdu Beautiful Cuisines City),

located opposite Ai Hua Hotel. It was our last night staying at Ai Hua Hotel as we would

be leaving Beijing the next morning for Tianjin & Chengde. So Dear & I told ourselves

that no matter what, we had to go have supper at this same Restaurant for the last time

cos we love the so many delicious yummy food it served. Besides we might never taste

such great food again when back home in Singapore!

Restaurant menu :

We ordered the “Tong Yi Xian Cheng Duo” Orange Drink & the ”Wang Lao Ji” Herbal Tea.

Vinegar & Hot Spicy Chili oil :

Our Hotpot Chicken Mushrooms Soup :

All kinds of Mushrooms - huge Straw Mushrooms, Forest Nameko

(or Cinnamon Cap) Mushrooms, Oyster Mushrooms etc :

The Soup was very steaming Hot & Tasty, with a slight Hot Peppery flavour!!

And the Chicken was very Delicious too!!

To our pleasant surprise, there was even some kind of Thick Glass Noodles which were very

very yummy!

Our huge bowl of very steaming Hot Huge Steamed Dumplings with

Garlic (or “Shui Jiao” in Chinese) :

Dear tucking into the superb tasty Soup!

Wow!! Look at the still steaming Hot Hot Dumplings!! They were so Big & so Delicious

& it was Dear & my 2nd time eating Steamed Dumplings in this Restaurant! They made

really good Dumplings - all freshly made & steamed on the spot when you ordered!!

So so Happy & delighted that we were sitting right there infront of our yummy yummy

Hotpot Soup & Dumplings!!

Dear enjoying the really Delicious Hotpot Chicken Mushrooms Soup!

We ate everything up - See the below EMPTY Hotpot & Plate - the Chicken Mushrooms

Soup & all the many big Dumplings were all gone by now!! See the Vapour coming up

from the empty Hotpot - it was still boiling steamingly Hot even after we finished

all the Soup!! Amazing ha & that was what we loved best - especially I who love boiling hot Soup!!

Funny Dear touching his Tummy & showing “he was so so so full” expressions!!

The table where we sat for our Supper - look at the mess we made haha!!

Dear paying for our Supper at the back Counter :

The below Chengdu Snackbar at the front of the Restaurant. See the boy seated behind -

he was actually reading. He was a very hardworking Chinese boy who was in-charge of the

Snackbar sales, & every night for the nights we were there having Supper in the Restaurant,

we would see him reading a very thick Chinese Book either inside the Snackbar

or behind at the table whenever he has no customers to tend to.

Haha, here they’re again - more photos of the Snackbar sales items which I’d actually taken

before in my earlier posts. Though I’d taken photos of this Snackbar sales items before

whenever Dear & I came here for Supper, but everytime we came back here again I couldn’t help

but take some more photos again haha!! But actually each time, there were some kind of new

or additional items - such as  the Pig Trotters in the below photos - these were never seen

in my earlier posts!

Dear & I came back to Ai Hua Hotel, & I took a photo of the Hotel Room Rates which was

shown at the Hotel Lobby Reception.

Dear & I were soon back in our Room No 8502, to retire for the night -

our last night in Ai Hua Hotel, Beijing!
