Walking the Beijing Streets in China
Filed Under (Beijing, China, Travelling) by Janet on 29-05-2008
Walking to Sifu’s car after leaving Beihai Park – walking past a school where all the wealthiest students were studying. “These are children of all the high ranking & important Officials in Beijing” – our tour guide Wang Jing told us as we were walking. No wonder we saw many nice posh cars driven by parents or chauffeurs parked by the roadside infront of the school cos they were waiting for the students who were finishing school then!
We walked for a distance & then boarded Sifu’s car to go to our next destination of the day. And it was a pretty nice journey travelling in Sifu’s car cos we passed by the nearby Hutongs neighourbood again – this time I managed to take more photos of the Hutongs restaurants, courtyards, gardens, houses & rickshaws. It was a nice feeling being able to see them so soon again after our earlier Hutongs tour!
Below is a Slideshow of all the photos I took – from walking from Beihai Park, to being seated inside Sifu’s car & travelling to the Hutongs neighbourhood. Hope you enjoy :
