An Enjoyable Evening spent at Mediterranean Style Orlando Premium Outlets - Florida USA
Filed Under (Cuisines, Florida, Orlando, Shopping, Travelling, USA, World Souvenirs) by Janet on 11-02-2009
My Lynx Bus (Link 42) journey from The Florida Mall takes about an hour 15 min to reach Orlando Premium Outlets located here at Vineland Avenue :
Yesterday when I was here I alighted from the I-Ride Trolley Stop 41 behind the Outlets, but today, the Lynx Bus Stop (as shown above) is located right infront of the Outlets……………
Hmm…………..it’s a beautiful place out here with many lovely Palm Trees - The time now is around 5.45pm as I explore my new surroundings a bit while walking towards the Mediterranean-inspired Outlets :
I’m really fond of this place as I’ve really loved my shopping time spent here yesterday & I’m actually glad that I get to be back here today!! Besides, there’s not much hassle coming here since the local transportation’s really convenient & easy.
Here I am inside Orlando Premium Outlets :
I stop by the following Fuzziwig’s Candy Factory, then soon discover there’s also a Disney Store Outlet here where I check out its Disney merchandises hoping to grap more of my Dreamland souvenrs - but I’ve not much luck as most of the mechandises are old or past-year series…………
I’m now back at the Ecko Unltd Outlet to exchange Dear’s T-shirt which I got him yesterday - hahah I’ve this problem of recognising or remembering the actual sizes of my loved ones especially when I’m travelling overseas & always seem to end up buying much bigger sized clothings for them!!
Still remember I bought so huge sizes handpainted (by Australian Artists in Kuranda Village) Skirt & Tee Suits for Mom & Sis during my Kuranda Scenic Railway Trip up the Kuranda Range in Cairns back in 1997 (during my uni summer vacation break) - as I’d not seen my family for a year then & I kept thinking they were really big-sized!! But in actual fact when I was back home in Singapore - I saw them so tiny & of course all those beautifully handpainted suits were far too HUGE for them :((
So similar for the past few days here in Orlando Florida USA, I’ve been commiting the same mistakes cos I either get Dear’s T-shirts too small or too big in sizes!! Hahah guess I’m really getting real real old ha, or may be I’m just too influenced by, & attached to the big-sized Caucasians I see everywhere here in America!!
I’ve actually gotten a different designed Red Ecko Unltd T-shirt for Dear yesterday when I was here but it was too big a size so I had it exchanged for the following White tee today, with no idea that it was of the exact same design as the other Red one I got him yesterday!! Haha I’m so blur!!
Label & back Design of Dear’s T-shirt :
I’m now entering the Authentic Fossil “The Company Store” to look for a Wallet for Dad :
Wow it’s a pretty big Outlet here with lots of Watches & Leather Goods :
I spend some time in here before deciding on the following Wallet for Dad :
Made of Italian Leather, this Fossil Wallet is pretty soft which will become much softer after use which I know Dad likes since he doesn’t like it hard just like Dear.
Besides, this Wallet has got very nice smooth good quality Fabric in its interior which gives the whole Wallet an even up-class look!
Too bad there isn’t a 2nd same good piece that I could find in the Store or else I’d like to get one for Dear too cos I know he’ll like it lots too, just like Dad who immediately uses it once I give it to him back home in Singapore :
Here’s the Authentic Fossil “The Company Store” Shopping Bag :
I soon step out of Fossil & am now roaming in the lovely duskly lit-up Mediterranean style Orlando Premium Outlets………..wishing Dear’s with me right now cos I miss him so much so much!!
As I’m missing Dear I make my way towards the Food Court in search of my Dinner :
Haha I’ve been having American Salads & Sandwiches & Instant Noodles for my meals in the past few days while alone without Dear as he’s away attending his SolidWorks World 2009 Conference, but today I feel like having something else!!
Well, not that I’m complaining cos I actually love eating all those Salads & Sandwiches & Instant Noodles cos they’re really convenient yet so yummy yummy!! But just that I miss Chinese Cuisines terribly - YES YES I MISS “CHINESE” terribly terribly & I must go find some now!!!
Oh how WONDERFUL as my Asian desire’s about to be fullfilled real soon as I see Max Orient from afar once stepping into the Food Court here at Orlando Premium Outlets - hahaha!!!
Let’s first look at its below CHINESE Menu - YES YES it’s really CHINESE as seen in the Menu Cuisines & even the Boss & employee (except for an Indian American) at Max Orient are Chinese & speaking fluent Mandarin too heheh!!
Besides some Drinks & Chinese Snacks, Max Orient actually serves CHINESE Fried Noodle (or Lo Mein) or Rice with Dishes - or what we Singaporeans usually call “Chap Chai Peng” (in Hokkien dialect “Chap Chai” meaning Mixed Vegetables or Dishes, & “Peng” meaning Rice).
And I’m really pleased to see there’re quite many varities of dishes served on the Steam Table here - too bad I never get the chance to take snapshots of the Cuisines as my hands are farily loaded with shopping stuffs!
Anyway, I quickly decide on Two Entrees Combo with Steamed White Rice cos YES YES I MISS home-cooked WHITE RICE so much so much!!! Actually I’d wanted to get the Three Entrees combo if not for the already filled-up Pack, & I’d wanted the Deep Fried Spring Roll but then I’ve to give it a miss as it’ll become soggy by the time I’m back at the Hotel………….hahah I’m just so GREEDY GREEDY!!
Soon after leaving the Food Court, I walk towards the I-Ride Trolley Stop, & past the above COACH Factory peeping into the Outlet trying to see if there’re new arrivals etc - hahah!! can’t believe it as I’d actually already gotten my COACH Bags 2 days ago!! And had also been inside this Outlet yesterday!! Well, no harm just peeping hoho!
Hahah I’ve an enjoyable evening spent here at Mediterranean style Orlando Premium Outlets & the time now is 7.30pm when the I-Ride Trolley arrives shortly after I reach the Trolley Stop 41- & using my 3-day Unlimited Rides Pass which I bought yesterday morning, I board the Trolley & am on my way back to Quality Inn International at International Drive now :
Haha seems that I’m getting bolder & more daring as the days go by here in Orlando as I can now travel quite freely on my own even when the sky’s already so dark at night, & walking alone back to Quality Inn International without fright & fear from the I-Ride Trolley Red Line South Bound Stop 15 at International Drive………………..
At about 8.30pm, I’m now back in the comforts of my Hotel Room - eyeing anxiously at my CHINESE Dinner Pack from Max Orient :
Tah Tah!! Here’s my long-awaited CHINESE Two Entrees Combo with Steamed White Rice looking so temptingly delicious & yummy yummy!!!
Haha these packets of HOT SAUCE remind me of those days when I was a uni student living in Australia as the Asian Aussies there also gave out such HOT Sauce with their Chinese food in Eateries - heheh it’s been a long while since I taste such Hot Sauce & I’m getting real excited as I think of it - CAN’T wait to tuck in :
Look at my Stir-fry Broccoli with Chicken & Carrots…………….. & the Black Pepper Beef stir-fry with Onions & Green Capsicums sitting on top of my still quite steaming hot White Rice :
Broccoli & Beef are my favourites & I’m happily surprised how very fresh & crunchy these Broccoli are, & the pretty huge Chicken chunks so well marinated, tender & so tasty!! And the Beef stripes are not too salty but tasting so good & all the Capsicums & Onions are so fresh & crunchy too!!
Sizzling some slighty sourish HOT Sauce to the Stir-fries adds even more zests & flavour, & eating them with the plain White Rice is just so deliciously great & superb!!!
Haha what a GREAT yummiest Dinner I just had, having satisfied my tummy craving for CHINESE Cuisines!!
And I even eat a whole huge Otis Spunkmeyer Wild Blueberry Muffin (which I bought from Walgreens last night) for dessert, plus lots of COLD American Coke from my Room’s fridge!!
The time now is a little past 9pm & just as I’m settling down to rest, I hear knocks on my Room Door!! Err!! my Dear Dear’s already back so early tonight?!?! Heheh heheh what a pleasant surpise!!
Oh I see, actually Dear just got a hitch ride back to the Hotel from his new-found Greek friend from Greece whom he met in SolidWorks World 2009 Conference - how nice cos Dear gets to be back here an hour & 45 mins earlier unlike if he takes the Hotel Shuttle which only leaves Walt Disney World at 9.45pm & get back here an hour later!!
Dear’s telling me that his Greek friend’s driving to Miami tomorrow & if we’d not already had plans for tomorrow we might join him too since driving’s definitely more enjoyable & fun than travelling there in Tour Bus!!
Anyway, here’re some Tropicana Juices which Dear just brought back from his last Day at the SolidWorks World 2009 Conference :
Thought I show you a pic of Handsome Dear at Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Resort where SolidWorks World 2009 Conference is held - pic taken by another new-found Singaporen Malay friend residing in Canada now :
And the following’s a Slideshow of the Last & 4th Day of SolidWorks World 2009 Conference attended by Dear today - attached with his collected Conference Souvenirs (plentiful Business Booklets, T-shirts, Pens, Cap, Business Cards, Poster etc) :
I’m now leaving you My travelling Slideshow of photos taken during my most Beautiful & Enjoyable Evening spent at Mediterranean style Orlando Premium Outlets - Florida USA - have fun :
