Still at the Lindbergh Terminal of Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport waiting for our connecting flight to Orlando, Florida – Dear’s feeling kinda hungry so we decide to dine at the Quiznos Sub - Well, as Dear puts it – “There’re so many local American travellers eating in there it’s got to be good!!!”
A Poster at the Quiznos Sub Restaurant describing the BEST Ingredients used :
Now, Dear has just bought our best love drinks - Coco-Cola – heheh we finally get to have a taste of the American Coke!! And like what my nephew Daniel (who had just been to USA) says, Coke is really very expensive here in America – this bottle of Coke here costs about US$2.50 (inclusive of tax) which is about S$3.80, which is twice or more the amount for our same-sized Coke back home in Singapore!! But trust me, Dear & I absolutely love the American Coke cos we find it tastes so much better - & we absolutely think it’s worth that extra $$ ))
And here’s our Black Angus Beef Steak with Wheat Bread Sandwich :
Dear with our Coke & Sandwich – believe me the American Coke is simply fantastic (unlike the ones from Singapore!!) – both Dear & I love it so much!!
Dear pointing at the huge marvelicious-looking flowing cheesy Black Angus Beef Steak Sandwich – consisting of Mozzarella, Cheddar, Mushrooms, Sauteed Onions, Honey Bourbon Mustard & Zesty Grille Sauce – yummy yummy all my favourite ingredients!!!
Dear’s taking his first bite into the Sandwich now…….Hmmm……….mmm………it’s so delicious!!!
Just look at the sticky chewy mustardy cheese!!
Dear’s really enjoying his Sandwich – what a great choice indeed!! And it turns out that Quiznos Sub is a HOT American huant after Subway – though Dear & I both think that it’s even better & tastier than Subway!! At least for us who’ve only eaten Subway in Singapore & not in America!!
After having a good time at the Quiznos Sub, Dear & I continue to walk around in the Airport as we’ve still got some time before our flight to Orlando Florida.
Here below, we’re trying to peep through the huge glass window from the Airport to the far end of the Airport runway where it’s covered with beautiful snow among trees – however this snapshot of mine doesn’t show its true beauty at all :
The outside temperature right now is about -7 degrees celcius – however it doesn’t seem that cold at all from where we’re standing, though we can see the outside Airport workers wearing very thick jackets & coats!!
And here’s a snapshot of Snowy Winter Minnesota as seen from the edge of the glass window as Dear & I shout excitedly to each other “Hey Dear come look at the Snowy Road down below!!!”
Now, the following’s a Minnesota Magazine showing the newly elected President of United States of America Barack Obama at a Newstand Souvenir Store in the Airport where I try hunting for a Obama Souvenir Magnet – but to my dismay there isn’t any to be found!!
Chocolates on sales – mostly Dark Chocolates which Dear & I do not prefer :
Then out of the blue, Dear & I suddenly realise that it’s almost 2.45pm now & that our flight departs in 45mins time!! And we’re still a pretty long way back to our Departure Gate 74 (in the other far end) – so we start to walk as fast as we can towards the Gate……….
And along the way, there’s this United States of America Space Shuttle Arcade Game which catches my eyes to stop to take 2 snapshots of it :
Dear & I hurry on towards our Departure Gate & we’re almost there when we make another quick stop to take in the lovely serene sights outside the Airport :
I simply love the leaveless trees………….
And they’re so gorgeous it’s always been my dream to see such Winter sceneries & I’m feeling so blessed to be standing here right now………& I think I’m already fallen in love with Minnesota……………
We’re now nearing our Departure Gate 74 as we enjoy the huge above-in-the-ceiling Aircraft – which we find really special & cool :
Here’s another snapshot try of mine on the outside Snowy Winter backdrop along the Airport Runway – though it still doesn’t quite show its loveliness as much as we see from inside the Airport here :
And I’m pleasantly surprised & really happy to see a Starbucks Store beside our Departure Gate - cos I wana buy its Coffee Powder for Mom & Dad who drink Starbucks daily back in the comfort of their home in Singapore!!
Still remember I was the first person to bring home a pack of Starbucks Coffee Powder many years ago, & Mom & Dad have been hooked on it ever since & never stay home without having the Coffee!!
Besides, I’ve always looked for Coffee powder everywhere I travel to, so that I can bring home for Mom & Dad who’re staunch Coffee Lovers!!
Here’s Dear standing inside Starbucks :
The Starbucks Guatemala Casi Cielo Coffee Powder which I just bought for Mom & Dad – the name meaning “Almost Heaven” - & I later find out from Mom & Dad (after my Trip back home) that the Coffee’s truely very rich & sensational – very good!!
Another huge pretty Aircraft hanging from the Airport ceiling near our Departure Gate 74 :
It’s soon boarding time for our Northwest Flight NW582 to our final destination – Orlando, Florida :
Dear & I onboard Flight NW582 now - getting ready for take-off :
And here’s view of Minneapolis-St Paul International Airport from where we’re seated inside our aircraft :
And a Snowy Minnesota outside our Aircraft :
And very soon our flight takes off & now we’re high up in the sky – overlooking Snowy Minnesota down below :
Snowy Snowy Minnesota – wish we’ve more time with you cos we believe you’re an amazing place to be out there in the outside. And we really enjoy your Shopping & Cuisines so much that we can’t really bear to leave you so soon…………
But at the same time we’re looking forward to reaching our final destination – So GOODBYE Minnesota!! Dear & I shall miss you very very much from Orlando Florida, & Singapore too!!
Now, do enjoy my Slideshow of all photos taken during our Transit Stop at Minnesota, inclusive of Minneapolis Music & a Slideshow full of its gracious Landmarks - & as much as I love the place, I hope you do too )
