The Garden Heartland of the Blue Mountains located at the Edge of the Blue Mountains National Park – also called the “Garden Village“, Leura is home to many formal English-style cool climate gardens. The name Leura is Aboriginal for “Lava” as many volcanic stones have been found in this area.

Well, from this point onwards no photography is allowed inside the Leuralla NSW Toy & Railway Museum – home to the largest & most important Toy, Doll, & Model Train Collection in the Southern Hemisphere. This Collection is rated as the most important in the World & spans the early 1900s to current day, with emphasis from 1910 to 1960.
Displayed in its original state that includes original paint finishes, finishings, fixtures & fittings, with all the woodwork & carvings being French Polished, the entire construction of the Leuralla NSW Toy & Railway Museum was carried out by hand.
