Dear & I have now walked away from Jurassic Park Discovery Center towards our 3rd ”Island” of exploration – The Lost Continent at Islands of Adventure in Orlando, Florida USA – here facing a Jeep parked along the pavement among lush trees & plants………

An Ancient Island where mysterious beasts, mystical wizards, & mystical gods reign supreme - The Lost Continent consists of 3 small Sections – & Dear & I are now venturing first into Medieval Europe (or Middle Ages Section) as we approach the far end of the Theme Park………..

We walk past this pretty Dinosaur-looking Snack Stall named “The Watering Hole” as we arrive outside The Dueling Dragons – located in Medieval Europe of The Lost Continent in Islands of Adventure :

Well, The Dueling Dragons is the main highlight of The Lost Continent, & the other famous Roller Coaster (besides Incredible Hulk Coaster) that I’ve been telling Dear about, since before coming to Orlando - as I’ve read its very good reviews while I was planning for our Trip itinerary!!

So heheh I’m actually equally very excited as Dear about this Ride as I plan to accompany him this time round!! And Dear’s extremely happy happy!!

But HEY!! WHAT!?!!! NO bags allowed inside the Ride??!!! 

“Is OKIE Dear cos there’re Lockers outside here!!” as Dear observes & informs me……….But SHARKS!! the Lockers are all so tiny to hold Dear’s backpark!!! 

“HOW??!!” Dear’s & my high spirits suddenly drop……..”No choice - I’ll have to miss it then!! It’s OKIE – You go ahead alone!!” as I sadly reply Dear………..well, I’m not exactly very sad cos heheh may be it’s just fated that I miss this Ride again since my FEAR of heights & spins & looping & dizziness is greatly at stake hahah………

Well, to prepare himself for his soon-to-come fiercest Ride of his life – Dear tries out ”TEST THIS SEAT BEFORE RIDING” which is located beside the Lockers – outside the Entrance of The Dueling Dragons :

I soon take over Dear’s backpack - give him a “smauck!!” on his cheek (as usual whenever we part ways when outside!!) – before saying Goodbye to him bidding him great fun!! great adventure!! great FEARS hahha!!!! as he enters & strolls into the following Walkway towards The Dueling Dragons………….

Dear arrives in a magnificent Stone Castle featuring Swords, Shields, Banners & Plaques, which is the Queuing Area for The Dueling Dragons – its theming directly supervised by Steven Spielberg :

And the WARNING! instructions for the Fiercest Dueling Dragons Ride :

Well, The Dueling Dragons is a pair of dueling Roller Coasters, & the only dueling Inverted Roller Coasters in the World!! There’re 2 Coaster Trains (or Dragons) - namely “FIRE Dragon” in RED Track, & “ICE Dragon” in BLUE Track :

The layout of The Dueling Dragons is such that the 2 Trains share adjacent lift hills, but then traverse 2 completely unique courses & later meet for the fiercest fight in the sky!

Both Dragons have a 2.25 min Ride duration – FIRE Dragon has 5 Inversions, including 2 Immelmann (one of which is the special Wrap-Around Immelmann!!), a Vertical Loop, & 2 Corkscrews – which means the FIRE Dragon Ride forcuses more on lateral motion & maintaining Top speed!!

For the ICE Dragon – it’s got 5 Inversions, including a Zero-Roll, Cobra Roll, Vertical Loop, & a Corkscrew – meaning its Ride contains more Vertical movements, Loops, & movemens of that natures. 

So, do you wana take on the FIRE Dragon Ride!?!? Or the ICE Dragon Ride?!!? Well, at a point along the Guest Queuing line for The Dueling Dragons, you’d have to decide to turn right for ICE, or left for FIRE - & both take you on 2 very different experiences………….

To FREEZE or To BURN!?!? - Your Choice!! Your Desire!! Just be very Very BOLD!!!

And hey, The Dueling Dragons Coasters are inverted – meaning the Riders are dangling below the Tracks from overheads, with Riders’ feets hanging freely below their seats!! Haha that seems even more Scary ha!! Or rather even better huh!! 

Haha Dear & I had been on an Inverted Roller Coaster – Lethal Weapon – in Movieworld, Gold Coast (Australia) – though that’s nothing compared to the fiercest Dueling Dragons here!!

The FIRE Dragon & ICE Dragon each reaches a top speed of 60 mph & 55 mph respectively, at heights of 125 ft above ground!! And they feature 3 NEAR Misses in which at 3 points during the Ride, the 2 Dragon Coasters get within 12 inches of each other – bringing Riders’ feet within several inches of Riders from the other Train!!

Hahah superbly amazing huh as the Riders experience narrowing escapes from their NEAR- Missing intertwined Coaster Trains!! Just imagine how extreme Intense the Riders feel when wondering if they’d HIT on each other!!!! OH DEAR!! OH Dear!!

But hey, DO NOT WORRY cos when the Trains are loaded, they’re weighed as they’re being despatched in order to properly time the NEAR-Miss points!!

Looking at the above pic - do you notice anything special?!? Well, do you see the Squirrel on the Tree in the middle of the pic!?!? Haha Dear informs me that he’d seen Squirrels as he walks along the Walkway out of The Dueling Dragons’ Stone Castle after about 45 mins.

And Dear can’t wait to tell me his Surviving the FIERCEST Ride of his life as he immediately shares with me how much he liked & enjoyed The Dueling Dragons……….

“The Queue was quite long & In the beginning we walked through this long DARK Tunnel with dimly lighted “Fires” by the sides & it was very creepy………..”

“And hey!! there’re actually 2 different Roller Coasters going on 2 separate different Tracks & once when we’re going around the 360-degrees Loop – we almost hit each other!! Hahah YEA YEA we were so close so close to each other it was as if we were about to touch each other hahah!! hahah!!!”

“So, which Dragon did you ride on!??!” I ask Dear – “The RED – FIRE  Dragon cos I like RED Color!!” hahahah Dear actually likes Blue color too but guess he was thinking of Me when he was deciding on which Dragon to ride cos I LOVE Red heheh!!!

Hahah, Dear did survive very well indeed!! And his VERDIT of The Dueling Dragons - Most FUN, Extremely EXCITING, SCARY & very long (duration!!)!!! SUPERB!! Very Good!! Even better than Incredible Hulk Coaster!! One of the BEST so far of all the Roller Coaster Rides I ever took!!

HAHHA!!! my first thoughts upon watching the above Video - THANK GOD the Lockers are too small!! I MUST be totally OUT of my MIND when I thought of going go on the Ride in the first place!!!

And Dear’s seen here with another “Knight’s Coat of Arm” Proclamation of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – REVEALED in 2010” infront of The Dueling Dragons across the Lagoon :

Now, Dear & I have just arrived outside a Medieval European Souvenir Store - Me holding the honorable hand of a handsome Knight in Amour :

Well, a Medieval Knights Armour was most important in Battlefields of the violent period of Middle Ages in Medieval Europe - providing essential body protection from lethal Battle Weapons – making the Knights living Fortresses. Plate Armour was first introduced in late 13th century, & Full Plate Armour in the 15th century weighing about 50 ibs.

Consisting of a complex series of Garments, Chain Mail & Iron Plates, a Knights suit of Armour had to be tailor-made to fit the knight exactly cos any incorrect sizing would be extremely dangerous as it could damper the knight’s ability to fight in Battles. And the better quality of the Knights suits of Armour – the more important was the Knight!

There’re also Coat of Arms Maps & Posters available here – Historically Coat of Arms are Armorial achievments or bearings used by Knights to identify them from enermy soldiers :
