Hi, guess by now you've guessed my name ha?!

Well, my name is Janet Ong of course! Yep, that's all to my name, that's my full name & nothing more! Nice to meet you! Hmm……..how & what do I write about myself………….how should I begin to introduce myself I wonder…….heehee……….now how about saying I'm just a simple minded girl who has many loves in my life!

I love travelling, guess it all started when I was very very young in lower Primary School cos my Mom & Dad have been travelling since I was at that age, almost every year, till today! And being greatly influenced by them, I'd always been dreaming & fantasizing about travelling around the World since then!

I remember Mom would buy me Souvenirs from everywhere Dad & she went; such as delicate colorful woven Cardigans from Taiwan, beautiful Necklaces & Bracelets from USA, Italy, Paris, Australia & China, Wooden Clogs from Amsterdam, Jewelry Box & Dolls from Vietnam, even a traditional Korean Hanbok but too bad that was too small a size for me then cos I was too fat to fit into it!! But I've still kept it till now, in fact everything which I've just mentioned are still with me till today! Well, having such sweet memories since young, & never ever wan them to vanish but wana let those good precious memories linger on……..I too love collecting Souvenirs from everywhere I travel to!

I also love cooking very much, & of course that including me loving to eat alot!! This has got to do very much with my Mom too cos she's one real good cook! Mom would cook tons of many types of delicious yummy irresistble good food for all of us since young, & today she still does alot! Mom's most popular dishes include Nasi Lemak, Chicken Curry, Salted Vegetables Duck Soup, Popiah, Rojak, Pig Trotters, Pig Stomach Soup, Stewed Pork, Mixed Vegetables, Curry Vegetables, Sesame Glutinous Rice, Pig Tail Peanuts Soup, Lotus Roots Soup, Ajar (Pickles), Tapioca Gui, Mee Sian, Rice Dumplings, Agar Agar, Sambal Prawn, Squids, Fish etc etc etc - See, that's why I can never grow thin at all!!

And since I used to accompany Mom to the Market & help her prepare the food ingredients & watch her frying, boiling, spining the wok, sweating over the fire etc, I've very much learned all my cooking skills from her! Thank you so much Mom for being my Master Chef!!

And being such a Food lover, I'm pretty adventurous & will try to explore different kinds of delicacies whenever Ive got the chance - to me, a 50 cents type of food can also be a real delicacy so long as it's yummy yummy!!!

I'm a Souvenir Magnets Fanatic too, though that started only at a later age in my early twenties. I remember I used to collect Fridge Magnets such as the Fruits & Vegetables type then, & slowly I began collecting Souvenir Magnets when I started travelling. Unfortunately, if only I'd loved Magnets at a much younger age then Mom would have gotten me Magnets from all over the places in the world where Dad & she had been, much much earlier on!

But it's alright………cos nothing's lost & it's never too late as I've still got hundreds of Souvenir Magnets to my Collection today!

So well, hope you now know me a little better ha! And I hope…..really really hope that you've come to like me a little, but if you've already loved me by now I would be at the top of my World!! If really so, I hope you'll enjoy reading my Blog!

Hmmm just had a really fresh healthy American Aussie Breakfast now off to Thrifty Car Rental located at Elizabeth Street here in Melbourne :

We picked up our White Mitsubishi Outlander from Thrifty Car Rental & are now heading towards Geelong – YES have been waiting for this Road Trip to Geelong for so long even before arriving here in Melbourne from Singapore – down Memory Lane especially for me who studied in Geelong during my uni days……………………….

Ahaha the below Ballarat Signboard reminds me of my visit to the Golden Sovereign Hill – Gold Muesum Ballarat on one of my many exciting Road Trips around Geelong during those very memorable uni days of mine here in Australia…………………….

Hmmmm the most beautiful Great Ocean Road – how I miss that place wished so much we could be there again & even stay a night or 2 there

Well, we'll be back there again for sure one fine day in the future – in the meantime I'll try to post pics of my Travelling to the Great Ocean Road here sometime later okie

Well I still remember very well that during our uni days we were often told not to visit North Geelong as far as possible cos it's a pretty unsafe place out there – & so very obediently as students we listened!!

Nevertheless I'm just really so excited & glad that I've made it here today heheheeee – & well, so far this part of North Geelong Town looks pretty quiet & very safe…………………..

There's even a Chinese Terra Cotta Warrior (or "Bing May Yong" in Chinese) photo Frame – how cool!!

Australia's Chinatown in Melbourne is located within the Melbourne Central Business District (CBD) around the Eastern end of Little Bourke Street - extending between the corners of Swanston & Spring Streets.

Established during the Victorian Gold Rush in 1851 – Melbourne's Chinatown is notable as the oldest Chinatown in Australia, the oldest continuous Chinese settlement in Australia, & the 2nd longest continuous Chinese settlement in the Western World.

Ahahaaaa I'm actually a "Pig" too since I'm born in the Chinese Pig year – but I couldn't finish all the rice even on a plate itself!

Well I went shopping at surrounding Chinatown shops while Dear surfed in the Internet Cafe………………………..about an hour later, we decided to head back to our hotel – stopping by a local Mcdonald's Restaurant for take-away supper – ahahahaaa cant stop eating don't we?!?!!!

Well, I've had a long tiring day since flying out of Sydney to Melbourne, & having walked so much around Melbourne City upon arrival here – I'll have to say an early Goodnite to all of you here…………………….

But before I do, let me show you all my sexy pretty Australian Souvenirs I've got from my shopping in Melbourne city today - ENJOY!!

YES Dear & I finally arrived in Melbourne from Sydney Australia!!

Founded in 1835 (47 years after the European Settlement of Australia) by settlers from Van Diemen's Land (which was the original name used by most Europeans for the Island of Tasmania) – Melbourne's the 2nd most populous State in Australia, & the Capital & most populous City in the State of Victoria.

Named by governor Richard Bourke in 1837, in honour of William Lamb—the 2nd Viscount Melbourne – Melbourne was officially declared a City by Queen Victoria in 1847.

In 1851, Melbourne became the capital city of the newly created colony of Victoria, & during the 1850s Victorian Gold Rush, it was transformed into 1 of the world's largest & wealthiest Cities.

Ranked as 1 of the top 3 World's Most Livable Cities by the Economist Group's Intelligence Unit since 2002 - Melbourne today is a Centre for the Arts, Commerce, Education, Entertainment, Sport & Tourism – often referred to as the "Cultural Capital of Australia".

We're now walking towards Melbourne City enjoying lovely views……………………

Hey there's the Melbourne Light Rail or Tram – a major form of public transport here in Melbourne which is home to the World's largest Tram Network. Melbourne's Tram Network consists of 245 km of Track, 28 routes & 1,813 Tram Stops.

Walking past Australia's only remaining Grand Hotel with classic beauty & culture of Victorian architecture & comforts & facilities of a 5-Star Hotel!!

We decided to have lunch here in Hard Rock Cafe Melbourne located at Bourke Street - Dear & I used to come here to buy HRC Souvenir T-shirts during our uni days in Australia – now we're really excited & thrilled to be back here for Lunch……………………

Actually I really can't drink at all cos will be drunk too soon arrhahhaaa so just having a sip of the really cool refreshing Aussie Beer!!

Hmmm hmmmm such good delicious yummy looking Aussie Grilled Chicken Burger & Fries – I'm sososooooo hungry let's tuck in now!!!!!!!

Just look at my now rosy cheeks from that earlier Beer sip!! PLUS the so hot weather in Melbourne today making me such a hottie right now heheheheeeee!!!

Hmmm so yummy yummy Chicken Aussie Burger I'm eating right here in Hard Rock Cafe Melbourne – reminding me so much of my very own delicious home-cooked Aussie Burger – so large that I made them with thick huge Beef patties tugged in-between cheese & bacons with Sauteed Onions & Pineapple, Sunny side up Egg, Lettuce & Tomatoes – prepared exactly based on an Australian Recipe from one of my many favourite home Cookbooks : 

After having such a wonderful Aussie Burger lunch, we're now shopping inside Hard Rock Cafe Melbourne :

And of course I can't resist not starting to buy my Australian HRC Melbourne souvenirs right off………………………..
